Taxes to Caesar or not

You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are. 17Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?" Jesus was just looking for the steel spring to snap. They thought they had him this time. If he said yes, he was in trouble with the Israelites, if he said no, he was in trouble with the Romans. They thought they had Jesus because it didn’t dawn on them how much more God wants from them. For the kingdom of God the answer is not either or, it is both and. When you live your life on the surface you ponder questions like the Pharisees proposed to Jesus. When you live your life in the Kingdom you begin to understand that God wants more from you because God wants more for you. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all else just seems to fall into place.
