Don't slip in the garbage

Wednesday October 12th, Philippians 4: 8Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious--the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Remember those days when you didn’t feel to well and you were thinking of calling in sick. Sometime you really were sick. Other times you just didn’t feel well and as soon as you called in sick, bingo, you felt better. You were no longer focused on not feeling well. Now suppose you focus your life on all the things of God. Suppose you fill the voids and the dips with praise. Suppose you fill your life with beauty and grace. You may still have sick day, but somehow even that feels better. Generally speaking, if you fill your life with good, good happens, if you fill your life with garbage, garbage happens. It’s not rocket science, but if your are not careful, it is easy to slip on and into the garbage.
