Steel in your convictions
Tuesday October 18, 1 Thessalonians 1: 4It is clear to us, friends, that God not only loves you very much but also has put his hand on you for something special. 5When the Message we preached came to you, it wasn't just words. Something happened in you. The Holy Spirit put steel in your convictions. Each of us has something special for the Kingdom of God, gifts given to us by God. It is when we flip that switch and turn on those gifts for the Kingdom that things start happening. They happen in our lives. They happen in the lives of those around us. They happen in the life of the church. The words become more than just words, they become life. God has put a hand on you for something special. How do you find out what it is? The same way you decide a major when you go to college. You give it your best shot, you find out where your passion lies, you go for it, you keep your eyes and soul open for any changes in course that may lie ahead. And don’t forget to surround everything in prayer.
