Stop and smell the flowers

Sunday October 9th, Isaiah 25: 1 O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things. The one being faithful is the Lord. We do not always do so well in the faithful department. How we do better in the faithful department is to focus our life on praising God for all the marvelous things God has done for us. If we focus on what we want and do not have, then the devil wins, and what the devil wins is a bit more of our time. The more we focus our lives on exalting and praising God the more our life is filled with praise. The more we focus on our unfulfilled wants, the more unhappiness and anxiety we have. In life, take time to stop and smell the flowers (metaphorically speaking) and then don’t forget to stop and thank God for those same flowers. Without that, your life slowly starts to fill up with a big emptiness, and that emptiness slowly starts to edge out the very thing that is a cure for that emptiness, God.
