no bull

Sunday August 28th, Leviticus 16: 6 "Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household. Ahhh to be young again when there were no worries and if you did do something wrong it was easy to fix. Humanity was young once. God gave them ways to make things better. Did God want the bull? Probably no more than God wants our bull today, but it was something they could “do” that would help them understand that God loves them. Not only that, people who worshiped other gods did something similar, so it made sense as far as worship goes. Offering bulls for sacrifice during the time of Aaron was contextual worship. Now we need to watch it so we do not get hung up on yesterday’s contextual worship but find fresh ways to help others see one thing, God loves them.
