Homesick
Monday August 15, Job 14: If we humans die, will we live again? That's my question. All through these difficult days I keep hoping, waiting for the final change--for resurrection! Homesick with longing for the creature you made, you’ll call--and I'll answer! In the midst of the troubles that sometimes beset us in this world, we find ourselves homesick. Longing to reunite the created with the creator. Longing once again to be a part of that from which we came. The spirit of love, the spirit of life, once again becoming a part of the spirit. In the many good times we are blessed with in life, we sometimes forget that, we sometimes forget from where we came and to where we are going. Sometimes amid the blessings of life we start to believe that that is what real life is all about. But then sometimes, in the midst of the blessings we get a glimpse, off in the distance, of the love from which we came and to which we will go. It’s just a glimpse, but it is enough.
