Creation, creature and creator together again

Wednesday August 17, Romans 8: We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. We tend to forget that heaven is not just about us, it is about all of creation. All the waste we create, all the forests we destroy, all the dirty air that traps the heat that changes the face of the earth and kills thousands and millions of lives, human and otherwise, it is part of our sin. It is part of our thinking that this time is somehow more important than the time others, especially our children, will have. Part of the evil we live with in the world is the evil we do to the world. Part of the suffering we experience is a result of greed our fathers practiced and we in turn practice for our own children and grandchildren. All creation, as well as all creatures, long to be in the new creation with the creator.
