Aaauugh! Beautiful

Thursday August 18, Romans 8: the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. Sometimes we just don’t know what to say. Sometimes the emotion associated with the joy or with the pain in our lives is too much. Sometimes all we can manage to get out is a long and loud Aaaauuuuuugh! They are the greatest prayers we can utter. They are prayers truly from the heart, no agendas, no pretense, no guarding, no holding back, only prayers from the heart. God hears them. The Holy Spirit interprets them. They are beautiful.
