Lord of the dance

Sunday, October 23rd. Leviticus 19: 1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: ‘Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy. We are made in the image of God. When called to be holy, it is not finding something outside yourself. It is not putting on the holy. It is calling up that which is already within you. It is calling up the Godness within you and connecting with that Goddness in whatever you do, whatever you think, whatever you say. And the answer is “no, you will not succeed.” After all it is not about doing or not doing holiness. It is about a dance with God. Hearing the music of God’s love and grace and letting it inform your every movement throughout the day. It is not a matter of following this rule or that precept, this theology or that liturgy, it is about hearing the music of God’s love and letting the holy within you dance.
