added to the equation

Wednesday October 26th, 1 Thessalonians 2: we were gentle with you like a nursing mother caring for her own children. 8 We were glad to share not only God’s good news with you but also our very lives because we cared for you so much. When we love God and love others, there is a gentle spirit about it. It is not about hitting someone over the head with the Bible, but rather putting food on their table. It is about binding up the broken hearted and proclaiming and participating in the release of the captives, whether their captivity be internal or external. It is to declare in word and actions the Year of the Lord’s favor and work toward an economic leveling of society where everyone has enough and no one has too much or too little. It is not about simply proclaiming these Gospel traits with our words, but to work for them with our deeds. The good news becomes the good news when action is added to the equation.
