Monday, October 24th, Leviticus 19: 18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD. There are lots of rules that sound like do’s and don’ts between Leviticus 19:1 and 19:18, but they all add up to the same thing; love God, love others. The stuff in the middle are simply some how-to’s on how to love God and love others. When our focus is on the how-to’s we tend to miss the love part and therefore get them both wrong. This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. Anything else is just self-absorbed self-righteousness.
