as a mother cares for her children

Wednesday October 26th, 1 Thessalonians 2: 6 Even though we had some standing as Christ's apostles, we never threw our weight around or tried to come across as important, with you or anyone else. 7We weren't aloof with you. We took you just as you were. We were never patronizing, never condescending, but we cared for you the way a mother cares for her children. Love your neighbor as yourself. Caring for the poor in our midst has two aims. To free the poor from a dependence on others so they may in turn help others in need, and to free those who are able to help from their bondage to the things of this world so they may form a closer bond with the God who loves them. Justice is never a one way street and the sweetest blessing is the one that is shared.
