shine from within

Tuesday August 30th, Romans 7: 13 Sin simply did what sin is so famous for doing: using the good as a cover to tempt me to do what would finally destroy me. How are you today? Just fine, how are you? Fine, just fine. We are all fine all the time. To show that we are fine, we sometimes do good things as a diversion to cover up the not so good things we are doing in other parts of our lives. God prefers honesty. It may seem shocking, but in facing the sin in our lives we are more likely to destroy it through Christ than be destroyed by it through the prince of darkness. That is a good name for the tempter, prince of darkness. He survives by actually convincing us that we can hid something in the darkness if we spread a little light on the outside. Jesus wants us to shine from the inside out with the love and forgiveness that comes only from God.
