No pleasure in the death of wicked people

Monday September 5th, Ezekiel 33: 11As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die? God created us and loves each and every one of us. We tend to forget that from time to time. We use words like terrorists and freedom fighters, depending on whether we agree or disagree with those we are talking about. We use phrases like god-less communists to describe people who use different economics. They are all the children of God however, and God loves them as well as us. The Sovereign Lord takes no pleasure in the death of wicked people, because they may only be wicked in our eyes and not the Lord’s eyes, and because they are the children of God created in the image of God. God can no more take pleasure in their death than we could take pleasure in the death of one of our children. When we consider war as an option on how to fix things, we would do well to consider that.
