If you win, you lose

Thursday September 8th, Matthew 18: 15"If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. If your goal is to win, you have already lost. If your goal is to win back your brother or sister, it may take time, but in the long run you will have already won. I just read that last year was a banner year for arms sales and that we as a nation topped the list by selling more than any other nation. It seems to me that the Biblical thing to do would be to come out on the bottom of that list. It would be nice to see us on the top of a list of countries that put the most into diplomacy. It would be nice if there was such a list. Let’s follow the word of God and start mending relationships at home and then work in ever widening circles until we reach the whole world. All it takes is for you to do your part today. Talk to someone you don’t like, and be nice.
