10th Sunday after Pentecost Matthew 16:13-20

You are the Christ
The Son of the living God
and upon this confession
the Church will be built
upon this confession
the foundation of the church
Stands
All of heaven
all of hell
hinge on that simple creed
Who do you say He is
in your heart
with your words
        I believe in God
        The Father Almighty
        Creator of Heaven and Earth
with your heart
        and in Jesus Christ
        God’s only Son
         Our Lord
Kingdoms rise and fall
Worlds become and end
and yet all of life stands on that simple
Who do you say I am
in your life
in your heart
in your voice
and confess the God of Love
