ain't grace
Wednesday May 21st,
1 Peter 2: 4 As you come to him,
the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual
house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God
through Jesus Christ. Those living stones are often rejected
by humanity because they don’t fit into the power structure. Love one another, care for the least lost and
lonely, pray for your enemies, forgive one another, all good things to say in
church but try them in the real world and you will get some heat and more than
a few mighty strange looks. And yet,
they are the foundation on which the church is built. It is the foundation on which to live your
life and the foundation to teach your children for their life. Neither they nor you are likely to get rich
off it, if that indeed is your goal, but they and you will have a foundation
for happiness. When it comes to living
as a child of God, if it ain ‘t grace, it ain’t God.
