God flavors

Friday January 25^th, John 2: 1 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine." 4 "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come." 5 His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." Just as time between Good Friday and the resurrection, after three days, something totally new comes into the world. And the new thing that comes into the world is better than what was before.  There are some lessons we can learn from this. Lesson number one; you might as well do what your mother tells you to do, because sooner or later you will end up doing it anyway.  Lesson number two; it appears as if even Jesus had to be prodded once in a while, so it’s OK to prod and to be prodded yourself.  Lesson number three; Others can see your gifts, and sometimes wonder why you are not using them, so use them and make your mother and the rest of the family of God happy and use your gifts.  Lesson number four; others will appreciate your gifts as they fill out the flavors of this God given life.  So, celebrate the life God gave you in what you do and help bring out the God flavors in this life.
