wherever we go
Tuesday January
15th, Acts 8: 14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word
of God, they sent Peter and John to them. When
the word comes, the community of God should be right behind. Love is only a word without hands to
hold. Forgiveness, only a concept, until
it is felt, words spoken. The body of
Christ is nourished with the love and help of one another. Faith grows in community and Peter and John
brought that connection with others. It
is our calling too, it is our mission as the children of God. When we come into the word we are sent into
the world, we come into a relationship, with the creator, with creation, with
all the creatures in God’s great creation.
It is what moves love from only a noun to a verb, and nurtures all who
come in contact with it. Wherever we
go, remember that God has already been there preparing the way for your love in
action, your love as a verb.
