pause
Tuesday
October 16th, Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God
is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting
between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost
thoughts and desires. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God.
Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we
are accountable. It would be nice to be able to point fingers, but in the
end we are all accountable, and woefully lacking, before the Lord God
Almighty. A two edged sword is able to
see the wrong in others and point fingers, but at the same time it also exposes
the deceit in us. In the process, we see
more of us than the other. Through the
gift of the spirit when we look at others what we see is the face of
Christ. The gift of foreknowledge is not
for the few, but for all. And the gift
of foreknowledge is to be able to say “OOPS, in capitols as we look into our
lives honestly, and to accept the grace of God in the humility of the lower
case. Nothing is hidden in the eyes of
the Lord. If that doesn't give pause,
you are either not living or not listening.
