Which Righteousness are you?

Sunday November 12th, Psalm146 : He gives justice to the poor and food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free and heals blind eyes. He gives a helping hand to everyone who falls. As followers of Christ, that is what we too are to be about. Sometime we get caught up in looking religious rather than being religious. The Pharisees looked religious. Though Jesus liked their enthusiasm, he had a little trouble with their righteousness that had become self-righteousness rather than God righteousness. In what ways are we tempted to focus more on self-righteousness than on God-righteousness? In what ways do our own self-interests get in the way of the Gospel unfolding in our lives? Don’t let the appearance of righteousness get in the way of walking humbly with God and being righteous.
