The Vision

Wednesday November 8th, Revelation 21: 1-5 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." This is the final vision in scripture, a vision of God brining peace and healing to all of humanity. This is where God is leading us. This is where we should be busy going, the image we should be working for. Today we should know where America is heading, what priorities it voted for. No matter how the vote turned out, the job is not done. Contact your elected officials weekly and let them know you want them to work toward God’s final vision of a world at peace, with food and health for all. A place where all are welcome and there are no barriors to keep others out. A place torture is not an acceptable practice and a place where instead, the love of God is the guiding principle. Let us build this world together.
