We gather together to live the Lord's blessings

Tuesday November 21st, Hebrews 10: Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord's coming is getting closer. OK, so we Lutherans have a problem. We finally seem to get the point across that we are saved by Grace, and then, as the children of God we say, O Good, that means we don’t have join together for worship anymore. Grace is a gift of God, not living in that grace is living less than you are called to live. Gathering for worship is our recognition of that gift of grace. Gathering for worship is being there for one another as a manifestation of that gift. Gathering for worship is our living out thankfulness for that gift of grace. Gathering for worship is our nurturing of that grace. Being saved by grace means you don’t have to go to worship to be a child of God. True joy comes when you realize that you get to gather together and experience the love and grace of God in new ways.
