read the one

Sunday May 29^th, 1 Kings 8: ²² Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands to heaven. ²³ He said, “O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and steadfast love for your servants who walk before you with all their heart, There is no God like the God of Abraham, Isaac and Sarah.  It is the God who calls us to live as the children of God in this world in such a way that when others see what this God thing is like, they want a piece of it.  Only one out of a hundred will read the Holy Scriptures, but ninety-nine out of a hundred will read the one who reads the scriptures.  Our calling is to make it a pleasant read.
