get to work

Friday, May 9^th, Luke 24: ²⁸ As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus continued on as if he were going farther. ²⁹ But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them. And so it is with you and I.  In the midst of our longing, God stays with us a little while, but only a little while.  Then God is out in front of us urging us on into the world to bring the good news of God’s love and forgiveness and presence to others.  So enjoy the stay, in the morning it will be time to get to work.
