beautiful day in the neighborhood

Friday October 5^th, Mark 9: ³⁸"Teacher," said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us."  ³⁹"Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, ⁴⁰for whoever is not against us is for us. ⁴¹I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.  Stop, you are not one of us!!!!  But then again, that’s only our point of view.  From God’s point of view we are all one of us.  We forget that it is God who is in control, not ourselves.  We are often the ones trying to tell God who to love and who to forgive and who to save and who to condemn, and in the midst of all the noise, we don’t hear God telling us to Love the Lord with all our heart soul and mind and our neighbor as ourselves. Are you acting like a neighbor today?
