easy to forget

Tuesday September 13th, Romans 14: 5 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. As we prepare to move into election season, it is easy to forget that we are talking about the presidency of the United States and not some contest for the most popular kid in second grade. Sometimes I just want to scream both to the one I support and to the ones I don’t support, Stay on Topic. I want to hear about your policies and who you will surround yourself with, who is paying your way that you will be beholding to and what you will do for them rather than the ones who voted for you. It is so easy when we are unsure of ourselves to simply blame the other. The present administration has endured that since the day he was elected and it has gotten us nowhere but down. God calls us to respect and honor the other, even the other we disagree with and the GOP and the TEA party have forgotten that basic aspect of Christianity all while claiming God on their side. It is OK to respect and disagree, but it doesn’t sell media time. Christ died for all, Christ is Lord of All. We are all the children of God, and we are all called to act as the children of God, and brothers and sisters one to another.
