I am the gate
Saturday May 21st, John 10: 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. Through Christ we have life. We go into the kingdom, into worship and we come out into the world and round and round and round we go, and in this movement from worshiping faith, to living faith and back again we find that which sustains us. Without Christ we have the world and we have work. We may find that which sustains us for a time, but talk about work, which is usually all we do. God provided the grace filled way of Christ, and sometimes we even manage to turn that into work. But the life of a child of God is one of being in the presence of Christ, and there finding our meaning in life, rather than working up to some high that almost makes it. In this life you can go through the gate, pick up your cross and be on your way or you can try to go over the wall, and eventually pick up your cross and be on your way. I recommend the first method.
