the rapture is a racket

Friday December 3rd, Matthew 24: 36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. The Rapture is a racket (The Rapture Exposed, Barbara Rossing) and the losers in this racket are the millions of Christians who lose their way and their money on the way to helping others through this rapture maze. It takes little conversation with 20somethings who have abandoned the church to see the damage all that rapture talk did to the children of God in the last ten years. In rejecting it, they have rejected the church as a whole. Matthew tells us that no one knows the time, except the Father. We are called to live in this world as the children of God showing the love of God in our lives and in the way we love one another. All that rapture talk was just about money and control and in the end it was the church that lost. Now is the time for the remnant of the children of God to rebuild that trust in God through the one constant, love for one another acted out in this world.
