foot of the cross

Wednesday October 15th, Philippians 4:  6-7 Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Let those things that cause you pain and worry be transformed into prayer, unless of course all you want to do is complain and wallow in the worry. Facing the monster that threatens to tear your life apart is the first step in turning the monster into the gift of prayer. There are some however who are not after solutions, only the attention that comes from a pity party.  The next time someone comes to you will a whole list of ills, first ask about their prayer life, then pray for them and with them thanking God for the ills that have brought them to the foot of the cross from which all help comes.
