cared for

Friday November 7^th, Matthew 5: 7"You're blessed when you care. At the moment of being "care-full,' you find yourselves cared for. Love the Lord with all your heart and soul and mind and love you neighbor as yourself. This is the how we live out “the kingdom is near” in our lives.  When we care for others, we find ourselves cared for. When we, out of fear or anxiety or simply selfish pride, care only for ourselves, looking out for good old, “number one”, we find the big holes in our lives just waiting to be filled, with, …. Caring for others and in the process, God.  Kind of funny the way that works.  Loving yourself is loving your neighbor in the broadest of senses.
