six weeks
Wednesday June 4th,
1 Peter 4:
8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around
like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that
your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all
grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a
little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. Being a counter-cultural Christian is not
easy. There are constant temptations that
we all succumb to. Having said that, there are also moments every once in a
while when the kingdom of God shines through.
Rejoice, and ground yourself in the word each day for the many
encounters with the kingdom that lay ahead.
If you haven’t tried it yet, go to 10W and sign up for the email (www.10worship.blogspot.com) the way to start your day. Try six weeks of worship on the way to work
and see if your life doesn’t change.
