fill us

Tuesday April 8^th, Romans 8: 6 If our minds are ruled by our desires, we will die. But if our minds are ruled by the Spirit, we will have life and peace. 7 Our desires fight against God, because they do not and cannot obey God's laws. 8 If we follow our desires, we cannot please God.  9 You are no longer ruled by your desires, but by God's Spirit, who lives in you.  I want, I want, I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And when we get, we often find ourselves filled with only more want.  If there is an emptiness within you that does not seem to be easily satisfied, a hole that longs to be whole, try prayer and ask the Spirit to fill the hole in your life with the wholeness the comes from God.  Ask not for what you want, but ask instead for the Lord to fill your heart with what it needs.  Let that emptiness within you melt away with the light of Christ and the warmth of his love just as the snow melts away with the coming of spring.  Fill us with your Spirit O Lord and breathe in us once again the breath of new life.
