Tuesday December 31^st, Matthew 2:  1 Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea during the time when Herod was king. When Jesus was born, some wise men from the east came to Jerusalem.2 They asked, "Where is the baby who was born to be the king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."  The angels brought the good news to the shepherds in the hills and they came and worshiped the new born king.  The angels were the light that drew the Magi from the east, spreading the good news beyond the boundaries of existence and acceptability of holiness to worship the new born king.  It was the old king and those who strove for power and wealth who were too busy, too occupied to see what was right before them.  God’s blessings are for all, but all do not see, all did not hear.  This New Year be part of the message of hope in a world that all too often sees only the struggle for power.  Let those who have ears hear.
