Wednesday September 18^th, 1 Timothy 1: 15-19 Here's a word you can take to heart and depend on: Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. I'm proof—Public Sinner Number One—of someone who could never have made it apart from sheer mercy. And now he shows me off—evidence of his endless patience—to those who are right on the edge of trusting him forever. Step one in AA is to admit you have a problem and can’t handle it on your own.  Step one in Christianity is to admit you have a problem and can’t do it on your own.  In fact, in Christianity most often the problem is that you want to do it on your own.  As the children of God we walk in a perpetual state of forgiveness, not so much for the evil things we have done as much as for the self-centered things we want to do.  Christ calls us to move our focus from me to thee.  It is there we find salvation and the courage to live as the me and the we God intended in the first place.
