new heaven and new earth

Wednesday November 7^th, Revelation 21:   1-5 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."  This is the final vision in scripture, a vision of God bringing peace and healing to all of humanity, a vision of God coming down to us.  This is the vision of where God is leading us to this day.  This is where we as the children of God should be busy going, the image of the church we should showing the world.  As you go forward in life, work toward God’s final vision of a world at peace, with food and health care for all.  A place where all are welcome and there are no barriers to keep others out or to keep us away from one another.  A place where a world of have’s and have not’s is not acceptable and a place where instead, the love of God is the guiding principle.  Let us build this world together.
