Peace a boo
Tuesday April 17th, John 20: 26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" The disciples, like you and I most of the time, are still sitting around in the process of getting ready to go out there into the Galilee, the world in which we live, and bring the good news. Now that we don’t have to do anything, most of us are choosing to do nothing. Then on the other hand some of us are very busy holding meetings, or studying the situation, or studying the Bible, or playing church or something, anything except getting out there where Jesus is, in the Galilee, in our world out ahead of us waiting. Jesus comes to the ones out there in the world as Jesus comes to us with the message that the kingdom is near. What Jesus does is to urge us to get together out there in our world, in the Galilee and know we are not alone. Jesus has already been, and already is there. The ground is fertile waiting for both the “us” and the “them” to grow. We are holding seeds in our hands. Now that we don’t have to do anything are we going to study those seeds or plant them?
