recognizing the spirit of God in others

Friday June 17th, John 20: 19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. The words may have been Peace be with you, but the image in my minds is one of the hair standing up on the backs of every neck in that room. If we go back to the Acts 2 lesson where the followers of Christ were all huddled together against the world, when the spirit of God came upon them, they went out. The Peace of Christ comes from acting on being sent out where you recognize the spirit of God within you, by recognizing the spirit of God in others.
