They'll turn their backs on truth and chase mirages. But you—keep your eye on what you're doing; accept the hard times along with the good; keep the Message alive; do a thorough job as God's servant. Spiritual junk food is epitomized in the series, “Left Behind ” as well as the new rights genre of god, guns and ammunition as well as a free market gift to the already rich and powerful. Looks like scripture, sounds like scripture, may even taste like scripture, but it leaves a sour taste in your mouth and a sour soul in your very being. It is easy to get all caught up in the “me” theology. Adam and Eve record the first instance of me theology with that tree thing. The hard job of scripture is the call to love others, because let’s face it, it is often the case that those others are not always so lovable. That is when it is good to remember that you don’t have to like someone to be loving toward them. Loving them is not about them or how they respond, it is about you and how you respond to the call to love God and love others.
