3rd Sunday in Lent

Luke 13:1-9

It’s so easy to look
And see the pain
In the world out there
That’s not all that sane

And say to ourselves
It must be God’s will
That evil has come
And yet still

I just don’t know why
Some suffer so much
Didn’t they follow God’s plan
Or his commandments and such

Christ tell us No
And never does say
Why the evil’s on them
Why it happens this way

Then the word comes to us
The word to repent
Don’t worry about them
See how your own life is bent

The fig tree grows
So green and so tall
But without bearing fruit
Some say it will fall
