Epiphany

Wednesday, January 6th, Ephesians 1: 11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. Today is the day of Epiphany, a day to celebrate the revealing of who Jesus is. It is fitting that today’s text talks of our being predestined. It is through Jesus that we are predestined to be the children of God. And there is nothing that can stand between us and the love of God in Christ Jesus, not our sin, not our guilt, not our control issues, no our rejection, not even the worst we can through at God, our apathy. We will be with God, period. As the light returns to the north country, the question is, are you going to walk in the light or stumble in the darkness until that day?
