When someone quotes a Bible verse in support of an issue, especially one that seems rather ideological, call them over, set them down, and say, “Let’s read that verse in context, we will start with the whole chapter and if needs be, expand out from there. You will either prove a point, make a friend or be at the very least, better informed. It also tends to stop people knocking on your door with Bibles and tracks in hand.
