Never alone

Thursday January 17th Matthew 3: 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?" Jesus, the Son of God, being baptized by John who was calling others to repent and be baptized. It may seem strange, but there is something new here. Jesus ushered in a new era, a new baptism. No longer would baptism be just a washing away of the old, but a dedication to the new. Life is changed and new life begins and the community gathers and says you do not have to do this alone.
